For the Second Consecutive Year the Fujitsu ScanSnap Receives a 4 ½ out of 5 Rating from PC Magazine
Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced that the Fujitsu ScanSnap fi-5110EOX2 scanning solution received a 4 ½ out of 5 rating from PC Magazine based on its comprehensive technical scanner review.
This is the second year in a row that the Fujitsu ScanSnap received a 4 ½ out of 5 rating from PC Magazine. The compact color scanner boasts fast speeds, superior paper-handling and excellent image quality. Priced at $495, the Fujitsu ScanSnap includes Adobe® Acrobat® 7.0 Standard, ScanSnap Organizer™ version 1.0, and ScanSnap Manager™ version 2.0. With Acrobat 7.0 software, users can view, print, and search Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files, create PDF documents from any application that prints, manage specialized content from Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, Access, Microsoft Office and Publisher (Windows only), password protect documents, combine application files into a single PDF document, and organize comments from multiple reviewers with sorting and filtering tools.
PC Magazine’s May 20, 2005, review commends the Fujitsu ScanSnap for its small frame and “blazingly fast” business card scanning speed. The article also notes, “As with the original, the whole of the package—a single scanner for documents and business cards—adds up to more than the sum of its parts.” The PC Magazine Fujitsu ScanSnap review can be found online at http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1818213,00.asp.
“Receiving a 4 ½ out of 5 rating for the second year from PC Magazine is an honor for us,” said Victor Kan, vice president of sales and marketing, Imaging Products Group, Fujitsu Computer Products America of America, Inc. “It is great to receive such support from a highly-valued industry publication as PC Magazine. We look forward to continuing the success we’ve had with the Fujitsu ScanSnap since its inception in May 2003 and providing our customers with a reliable and effective scanning solution to meet their document imaging demands.”
About the Fujitsu ScanSnap fi-5110EOX2 Scanning Solution
The Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner transforms paper into useful digital information at speeds of up to 15 pages per minute (ppm) for single-sided documents and 30 images per minute (ipm) for double-sided documents. Multi-page documents containing color, black and white, and text and graphic information on both sides can be processed into authentic, searchable PDF files with the bundled Acrobat 7.0 Standard software. The resulting PDF documents are stored in the Windows file system on a local PC or network allowing the user to organize, share, protect and interact with this information as they would with any other electronic file.
The Fujitsu ScanSnap scanning solution also provides business professionals with a simple, fast, easy to use method for converting information contained on paper into digital Adobe PDF files at the touch of a button. The ScanSnap scanner’s “always on” convenience, connectivity, and amazingly small footprint allow it to sit comfortably on any desk. The ScanSnap scanner also reinvented the “one-button” approach which eliminates elaborate scanning applications and the need for cumbersome driver interfaces.
